Town of Deerfield, WI (November 9, 2023) – On Wednesday, November 8, the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified two people killed in an automobile accident that took place in the town of Deerfield over the weekend. The victims were identified as 44-year-old Kara Therrell and 35-year-old Ignacio Juarez Celis.
Crash investigations provided by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office indicate that a vehicle was traveling northbound along State Highway 73 when it collided with a second vehicle head-on near County Highway BB.
The drivers of both vehicles, identified as Therrell and Juarez Celis, were both fatally injured in the crash.
One additional victim, identified as a passenger in the northbound vehicle, was transported to an area hospital for medical care. One dog also suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
At this time, the Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
