Elk Mount, WI (November 15, 2023) – The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a 70-year-old woman lost her life as a result of the motor vehicle collision that took place late Wednesday evening, November 12. The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and area firefighters were called to the scene of the crash at approximately 8:30 p.m.
According to law enforcement reports, a pickup truck was traveling in the area of Highway 29 and 970th Street when the vehicle collided with a semi-truck that was hauling pigs. The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway, where they came to rest down a steep embankment.
One woman involved in the crash was fatally injured. She was located at the scene unresponsive and pronounced deceased by responding officers. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the semi-truck did not suffer significant injuries in the crash. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
