Marshfield, WI – One Person Loses Life in Crash on County Highway Y near Shady Road

 Marshfield, WI (September 24, 2023) – A woman lost her life in a fatal car accident in Marshfield. She was a 17-year-old student from Junction City, according to reports. 

Sources said the collision occurred when the woman was on her way to school on Friday morning, September 22. At around 5:44 a.m., the incident occurred near the intersection of County Highway Y and Shady Road. Two cars crashed at the intersection, both coming to rest off of the roadway. 

One vehicle was headed north on Shady Road while the other, operated by the victim, was headed west on County Highway Y. The victim was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.

The other driver was taken to Marshfield Medical Center with injuries of an undisclosed nature. Police in Wood County are currently investigating the circumstances of the collision.
