Milwaukee, WI – 11-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured in Crash on W Fond Du Lac Ave & W Hoyt Pl

Milwaukee, WI (August 29, 2023) – Police in Milwaukee say a 30-year-old male driver was arrested after he struck a young boy and fled the scene. The incident was reported to officials in the area at around 3:15 p.m. on August 28. 

Reports from local sources show the crash happened near the intersection of West Fond Du Lac Avenue and Hoyt Place. A speeding vehicle struck an 11-year-old boy attempting to cross the street with his bike. 

The vehicle then fled the scene without stopping to render aid or wait for police to arrive. The vehicle was described as a white four-door sedan. Paramedics helped the injured victim at the scene and promptly took him to the hospital. 

Police in Milwaukee continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck.
