Car Accidents in Wisconsin

Janesville, WI – Injury Crash Reported at Humes Rd & Milton Ave

Auto accidents take place every day in Wisconsin. Unfortunately, there are many instances where those involved are left with serious injuries that change their lives forever. Suffering any type of significant injury in a motor vehicle accident can force you to undergo extensive medical treatment. Regrettably, we see far too many people forced to deal with painful spinal cord injuries, debilitating brain injuries, and other injuries that impact their lives forever.

After being hurt in a car crash in Wisconsin, you have a period of up to three years to take legal action against the responsible party. In order to recover compensation, you must be able to prove that the other driver was negligent. This involves showing the following:

  • Violation of Duty: Motorists have a responsibility to operate their vehicles safely, adhering to a duty of care towards others. If another driver breaches this duty by breaking the law and causing your injury, they have violated their duty of care.
  • Harm: You incurred damages due to the negligence of the other party.
  • Causation: Your injuries resulted from the unsafe or unreasonable driving actions of the responsible party.

To provide yourself with the best chance of proving your case against the defendant, it is highly advisable that you seek guidance from a Janesville car accident lawyer at once.
