Waupun, WI (October 20, 2023) – A motorcyclist has lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that was reported on Wednesday evening in Fond du Lac County.
At around 5:00 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on State Highway 49.
Official reports indicate that a motorcycle and a car were involved in a collision on the highway just west of Church Road. The incident blocked the roadway near the entrance of Tom Dooley Apple Orchard.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located a car, which is occupied by two 20-year-old women who were on injured.
The motorcyclist, a 75-year-old man from Lomira, was severely harmed. He was airlifted and flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man passed away as a result of his injuries after arriving.
The crash is currently being investigated.
