Lincoln, WI – Man Loses Life in Truck Wreck on Cortland Ave near WI-12

Lincoln, WI (October 21, 2023) – A man lost his life as a result of an accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Monroe County.

At around 2:00 p.m. on October 18, a rear-end collision between a pickup truck and a tractor took place on Portland Avenue. The incident occurred at the intersection near Wisconsin State Highway 12.

The force of the collision caused the tractor to go off the roadway and land in a ditch, where it overturned.

A 54-year-old man from Tomah, Wisconsin, was severely hurt. He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for emergency care.

A 78-year-old man from Warrens, Wisconsin, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash due to his injuries.

At this time, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
