Turtle Lake, WI – Two Killed, Three Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 8 at 33rd Street

Turtle Lake, WI (September 14, 2023) – Two people lost their lives in a traffic accident reported near Turtle Lake on Wednesday evening, September 13. The Wisconsin State Patrol and other emergency responders went to the scene of the collision on Highway 8 shortly after it happened after receiving reports from dispatchers concerning the incident. 

Sources say it was a three-vehicle collision that happened near 33rd Street at approximately 5:46 p.m. One of the involved passengers was pronounced deceased on-site by medical professionals. The victim was identified as Marthe Leora Mclean of Mission, Texas, age 92. 

Another individual lost his life on the way to the hospital, who was identified as 66-year-old Lynn Kelly, of Deer Park, Wisconsin. Kelly was operating an SUV that was involved in the collision. 

The health conditions of the other three individuals have not been reported at this time. 

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
