Sheboygan, WI (September 5, 2023) – Police in Sheboygan responded to the scene of an accident after a vehicle reportedly crashed into Lake Michigan on Monday night, September 4. One woman lost her life and another was sent to the hospital with injuries.
The vehicle was headed east on North Avenue when the driver failed to negotiate a curve near North 3rd Street. As a result, the vehicle left the roadway and entered the lake.
A woman from Sheboygan, age 37, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Another woman, age 25, also of Sheboygan, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities in Sheboygan continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
