Oakdale, WI (August 8, 2023) – All westbound lanes of an interstate in Oakdale were shut down on Tuesday afternoon, August 8, due to a serious car crash. Responders including EMTs, police, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the accident in Monroe County.
Reports from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation show a crash happened on Interstate 90 near the split with I-94 near mile marker 46. All lanes of the interstate were closed for approximately two hours while emergency responders worked in the area.
Traffic jams ensued all the way back to the Oakdale exit ramp. Paramedics rendered aid to injured victims while police worked to determine the cause of the accident. Few details are currently available to report.
