Motorcycle accidents may not be the most common type of accident in Wisconsin; however, when they do occur, they tend to lead to some of the most catastrophic damages. Motorcyclists have very few protections from harm, which means that they are more likely to become seriously injured or even killed in an accident. In 2022, it was reported that a total of 1,918 motorcycle accidents took place in Wisconsin, which led to 80 fatalities. If you have been hurt in a serious motorcycle accident that is not your fault, you should speak with an attorney that you can rely on.

Drivers are supposed to always be on the lookout for motorcyclists on our roads at all times. However, this does not always happen due to some of these negligent actions on behalf of drivers:

  • Distracted driving, such as texting and driving
  • Drunk or drugged driving
  • Speeding
  • Fatigued driving

If you know that another party is to blame for your motorcycle accident, you have every right to hold them liable for the harm that they have caused. It can be a long road to recovery after a motorcycle accident. This is why you should speak with a Madison motorcycle accident attorney as soon as possible following your collision.
