Wisconsin Motorcycle Accidents
Few people understand how devastating and impactful a motorcycle collision can be until their lives have been affected by one. Motorcycle collisions have, unfortunately, happened in higher volumes in recent years and now take several lives and cause severe injuries in Wisconsin yearly. In fact, it was reported that between 2014 and 2018, about 2,149 motorcycle accidents occurred in the state, leading to the death of 77 victims. Drivers are not always aware of motorcyclists, which means that motorcyclists are at an increased risk of being hurt on the road. If you have been injured in a motorcycle crash that was caused by another person, you should speak with a skilled and trusted lawyer.
A motorcycle collision will not only impact you physically, but it may also affect your finances. As you face a long road to recovery, you may also worry about how you will afford to cover the costs related to your crash. This is especially true if the severity of your injuries is keeping you from returning to work in a timely manner. Some of the most life-altering injuries that stem from motorcycle accidents include the following:
- Road rash
- Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs)
- Internal organ damage
- Paralysis
