Ellington, WI (August 6, 2023) – A man lost his life at a hospital in Ellington as a result of a severe traffic accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV. The wreck occurred at around 1:55 p.m. on August 5, according to reports.
Sources say the incident occurred on Wisconsin Route 76 near Grandview Road. When police arrived on-site, their initial investigations found that an SUV traveling north on WIS 76 from Grandview Road crashed into a motorcycle headed south on WIS 76.
Police say the motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital, where he later lost his life due to the extent of his injuries. A female who was driving the SUV was treated at the crash scene for injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening.
WIS 76 was closed for approximately four hours between Grandview Road and CTH O, police said. The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Wisconsin State Patrol Crash Reconstruction Unit, Ellington First Responders, Gold Cross Ambulance, and Ellington Fire Department all assisted at the crash scene.
