Apple River, WI (August 18, 2023) – Two people have lost their lives after a two-car accident in Apple River. Reports from police in the areas show it happened on Thursday, August 17, at around 6:46 a.m.
Police were informed of a two-car accident on Highway 8 near 114th Street. An eastbound vehicle reportedly crossed over the center line and struck a truck that was heading westbound.
Both drivers lost their lives in the accident despite lifesaving measures attempted by paramedics, sources said. At this time, their names have not been reported.
Wisconsin State Patrol, along with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, are investigating.
