Oshkosh, WI – Major Multi-Vehicle Accident Leads to Injuries on I-41

Oshkosh, WI (July 25, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a serious multi-vehicle collision that took place on a major highway in Oshkosh on Monday, July 24.

According to Wisconsin Police, the accident happened around 9 a.m. on I-41 around the area of the Wittman Regional Airport. Police confirmed that many individuals were traveling in the area for EAA AirVenture, which is expected to bring in a lot of traffic due to hundreds of thousands of people attending. Multiple vehicles were involved in a collision on the highway due to unknown reasons.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were seriously injured and transported to local hospitals by ambulance and medical helicopter. Their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes until 10 a.m., when police cleared the scene. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
