Milwaukee, WI – Teen Passenger Killed in Fatal Accident at 5th Ave & Keefe Ave

Milwaukee, WI (July 1, 2023) – A teen passenger was killed in a fatal car accident that took place at an intersection in Milwaukee on the morning of Friday, June 30.

According to Milwaukee Police, the accident happened around 5 a.m. at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Keefe Avenue. Police confirmed that a driver was speeding in the area when they suddenly lost control of their vehicle, causing it to swerve and slam into a tree at the intersection. The accident caused damage to a yard and home and left the vehicle split in two.

Police confirmed that a 17-year-old girl from Milwaukee was ejected from the back of the vehicle. She was tragically pronounced dead on the scene by EMS crews due to traumatic injuries. Four passengers also sustained injuries in the collision. They were identified as a 23-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman, and two 16-year-old girls. Their current conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for some time after the accident. Police said that charges are to be expected, though they are not yet known.

No further details have been released, but police continue their investigation into the collision.
