Hudson, WI (July 4, 2023) – Around 11 p.m. on Sunday night, July 2, a pedestrian accident took place following a road rage incident in Hudson.

According to Hudson Police Department officials, the accident happened at 305 First Street at the Hudson Lakefront Park boat launch. Police first received reports of a fight during fireworks. One person got into their vehicle following the fight and slammed into two pedestrians who were standing in the area. Police chased the driver down and were able to arrest them for the incident.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One of the pedestrians involved in the accident sustained critical injuries in the collision. The other was treated on scene and released with less severe injuries.

The area was blocked off for some time following the accident. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the parties injured in this collision with hopes of a full recovery.
