Delafield, WI – Rider Injured in Serious Motorcycle Crash on I-94

Delafield, WI (July 2, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that took place on a roadway in Delafield on the afternoon of Saturday, July 1.

According to Waukesha County officials, the accident happened around 3 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-94 around the area of State Highway 83. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicleThe exact cause of the crash has not been determined yet.

The rider was seriously injured, and the motorcycle was badly damaged as a result of the accident. Motorcycle parts were visible all over the roadway.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been fully identified, was rushed to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. It is not known if anybody else was hurt in the accident.

Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area until 5 p.m., when police announced that all lanes were reopened.
