Sturgeon Bay, WI (June 10, 2023) – Three people sustained injuries in a serious truck accident that took place at an intersection in Sturgeon Bay on Wednesday morning, June 7.
According to Door County officials, the accident happened before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 57 and Clarks Lake Road. A delivery truck and a passenger vehicle were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection and collided with each other. One of the vehicles was allegedly traveling east at the time, while the other was traveling south. The delivery truck overturned as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of three people were injured as a result of the accident. The parties were hospitalized with serious injuries but are all expected to recover.
Due to the severity of the accident, a portion of the roadway was blocked after the collision. This led to slow traffic and delays in the area for some time.
