Milwaukee, WI (June 6, 2023) – Two people sustained injuries in a rollover crash that took place on the afternoon of Saturday, June 3, in Milwaukee.

According to Milwaukee Police, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Cesar Chavez Drive and West Greenfield Avenue. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when they ran through a red light, causing their vehicle to be struck by a second car. Three other vehicles became involved in the collision, causing the first to overturn onto its roof. The driver who caused the accident then got out of his vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver and passenger inside one of the vehicles sustained injuries in the collision. They were taken to the hospital for treatment, but their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time following the accident. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident as of yet.

No further details have been released, but the investigation into the collision continues.
