Madison, WI (June 3, 2023) – A rollover accident with injuries took place on a highway in Madison on the morning of Saturday, June 3.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the accident happened around 11 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of US-12 around the area of Gammon Road. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. The vehicles involved were extensively damaged, and debris was scattered all over the roadway in the area.
EMS vehicles were present in the area, and paramedics were present at the scene, assisting those in need. One or more parties were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area until approximately 12:15 p.m.
