Green Bay, WI – Man Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash at CTH KK & CTH D

Green Bay, WI (June 18, 2023) – A man lost his life in a fatal two-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Green Bay on Sunday morning, June 18.

According to Calumet County officials, the accident happened in the morning hours at the intersection of CTH KK and CTH D. Police confirmed that a 73-year-old man from Appleton was driving his sports vehicle eastbound when he stopped at a stop sign. The driver then accelerated into the path of a pickup truck driven by a 37-year-old man from Brillion. The vehicles were extensively damaged in the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The Brillion man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to severe injuries. The 73-year-old driver was airlifted to a hospital with critical injuries. His 73-year-old female passenger was also taken to the hospital for treatment but is expected to be okay.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. This led to delays until the scene was fully cleared.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with new information when it becomes available.
