Freedom, WI – Man Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash at Hwy E & Greiner Rd

Freedom, WI (June 8, 2023) – A man was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident that took place at a Freedom intersection on Wednesday night, June 7.

According to local officials, the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway E and Greiner Road. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Highway E approaching the intersection when they were struck by a passenger vehicle driver who failed to yield the right-of-way. Both drivers remained at the scene and had damage to their vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The motorcyclist, who has since been identified as a 52-year-old man, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time after the accident. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time. Police will update with new information as it becomes available.
