Chilton, WI – Kenneth Vogt Killed in Pedestrian Accident on E Main St

Chilton, WI (June 21, 2023) – Around 9:13 p.m. on the night of Saturday, June 17, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on a roadway in Chilton.

According to Chilton Police, the accident happened on East Main Street around the area of Madison Street. Police confirmed that a vehicle was headed eastbound being operated by 77-year-old Robert Cullen. The driver suddenly struck a pedestrian who was walking in the area. The pedestrian was allegedly walking across the street, and the driver did not see them until it was too late.

Paramedics and several other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as 73-year-old Kenneth Vogt of Chilton, was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center for serious injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead while there on Monday, June 19.

A large portion of the road was blocked in the area for some time following the accident, which led to extensive traffic delays.

No further details have been released, but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
