Bradford, WI (June 22, 2023) – Around 2:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 21, a teen was killed in a fatal truck accident involving a dirt bike in Bradford.

According to Rock County officials, the accident happened on South Carvers Rock Road at the entrance to the Carver-Roehl County Park. Police confirmed that a semi-truck was traveling in the area and pulling a flatbed trailer behind it when it was involved in an accident with a dirt bike rider. The truck was exiting the park at the time. The dirt bike sustained severe damage as a result of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the dirt bike, identified as a 16-year-old teen boy, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene despite numerous attempts to save his life. The driver of the truck, identified as a 74-year-old man from Janesville, was not hurt in the accident but remained at the scene.

A large portion of the road was blocked in the area of the accident. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

No further details have been released, but the investigation into the collision continues.
