Sarona, WI – Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident at Hwy 253 & Sheldon Tower Dr

Sarona, WI (May 28, 2023) – At 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, May 26, a man was injured in a motorcycle accident at an intersection in Sarona.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 253 and Sheldon Tower Drive. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling in the area when they started to slow down so that they could enter a driveway. The motorcycle was suddenly struck from behind by a passenger vehicle, leading to extensive damages.

Sarona responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, identified as an 18-year-old man, was seriously injured in the accident. He was rushed to Regions Hospital by medical helicopter. The two people who were in the passenger vehicle at the time of the crash did not sustain injuries.

A portion of the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time after the accident. This led to delays in the area.

No further details have been released, but State Patrol continues its investigation into the collision.
