Milwaukee, WI – Injuries Reported in Motorcycle Crash at 12th St & State St

Milwaukee, WI (May 18, 2023) – Around 7 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 18, a motorcycle crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Milwaukee.

According to Milwaukee Police officials, the accident happened at the intersection of 12th Street and State Street. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling in the area when they drove through the intersection, causing them to become struck by an en-route ambulance. The motorcycle was left with extensive damages due to the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been formally identified, was rushed to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Nobody in the ambulance was injured, but it was allegedly headed to Sinai Medical Center with a critical patient at the time. The patient was dropped off at the hospital, which was just a few feet from the accident.

The intersection was blocked in multiple lanes following the collision until police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
