Milwaukee, WI (May 15, 2023) – Four people were killed in a fatal drunk driving accident that took place at an intersection in Milwaukee on the night of Sunday, May 14.

According to Milwaukee County officials, the accident happened at 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of 60th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue. Police confirmed that a 32-year-old woman was driving her passenger vehicle in the area when she suddenly slammed into a vehicle full of people at the intersection. Police identified that the woman was driving under the influence at the time.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Milwaukee County responders were dispatched to the scene to assist those involved in the collision. A total of four people inside the second vehicle were tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident due to traumatic injuries. The victims have since been identified as a 1-year-old girl, two 15-year-olds, and a 17-year-old. Two others inside the same vehicle were hospitalized and are expected to make a full recovery.

The area was blocked off at the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the roadway.

Police said that the 32-year-old woman in the other vehicle was taken into custody on OWI charges. Her exact charges have not yet been released.

The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident remains ongoing at this time.
