Lomira, WI (May 26, 2023) – Around 7 a.m. on the morning of Friday, May 26, a two-vehicle collision injured one person at an intersection in Lomira.

According to Dodge County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Center Drive and County Highway HH. Police confirmed that 22-year-old Adam Reible from Whitewater was traveling north in a Volkswagen Jetta when he failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection’s stop sign. His vehicle was struck by a Ford Explorer operated by 51-year-old James O’Brien. The vehicles sustained severe damage due to the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. O’Brien was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital by medical helicopter. Reible was taken to St. Agnes Hospital for treatment of minor injuries but has since been released.

A large portion of the intersection was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
